Who is SafetyAward.com?
SafetyAward.com is owned by Cedar Brook Co. We have sold safety awards and other corporate promotional items since 1988.
On this website we sell thousands of promotional items from hundreds of suppliers. We have brought all of this information together in one place to simplify the process of finding and ordering the right item for your project.
Because we buy from many suppliers, sometimes there are identical items in our catalog with different prices. Also, if you buy several different items, you are likely to get each of them from a different place. Each supplier has their own pricing, art requirements, set up charges etc. Our job is to bring it all together so that you get what you need, at the price you want, in time to meet your deadline.
How do you use this website?
To find the right item for your project:
From our homepage, click on "Product Catalog".
The search page then comes up. From this page you have the option to browse by category or, if you are looking for something specific, enter the name of item in the search box.
For example, if you are looking for a flashlight, you can click on the category "Electronics" and then on the link "Flashlights". You can then browse through the more than 500 different flashlights available. You can further organize these possibilities by sorting the list. To do this, click on the drop-down box where it says "Sort" and re-list the flashlights by Name, Price, Production Time or Quantity.
If 500 products are too many to sort through, you can use the search box to further define the flashlight you want. For example you can enter "Mag light" in the box. This search returns over 20 possibilities.
You can really pinpoint the item you are looking for by using the "Advanced Search" feature. The link for this feature is to the right of the search box. Within the advanced search you can specify the quantity, price range, production time, color, rush service available, and other characteristics if you know just what it is you want. Remember, the more limitations you impose on your search, the fewer items will be returned in your search.
Once you find what you are looking for
When you have found an item that you think might work, you have the option to get more details, start an order or compare it to other items.
By clicking this link you will be able to see much more information such as color, size, imprinting options and prices. Minimum quantities and production time are also detailed. If this page doesn't answer all your questions there is the further option to email us to "Request More Info". At this point you can also choose to "Email This Product" to yourself or someone else.
You can begin your order by clicking "Order Now". Follow the instructions, entering quantity, color, imprinting, artwork and payment information as it is requested. If you have questions or problems, please click on the email link firstname.lastname@example.org the bottom of each page and we will reply quickly.
When you perform a search, each item in the search results list has a "Compare" link. Clicking this link will add the current item to a list of other items that you choose for comparison. To see a comparison of these items click "Compare" on the search results page.
What is an art charge?
You want the logo imprint on your items to be clear and legible. To get a nice imprint, most processes require that the art you supply be what is called "vector" art. Usually vector art comes in these formats: .AI, or .EPS, and sometimes .PDF. If the art you submit is .JPG or .GIF, a letterhead or a drawing, an art charge will probably apply to your order to convert to a vector format. We won't know if an art charge applies until we have had a chance to see your art.
What are set up or screen charges?
These charges pay for the labor and material involved to use your vector art to prepare a silk screen that the printing equipment must use to imprint your logo on your ordered items. Sometimes a different screen charge is required for different sized logos or to imprint on different items. In other words, the same screen cannot necessarily be used to print your pens and your calculators. In that case, two screen charges apply.
How long does it take for an order to ship?
Since your order will come from one of many of our suppliers, the production time depends on what you order. We can get you an estimated shipping date before you place your confirmed order. Some suppliers offer rush service, usually at a price.
I have a deadline I have to make. How do I know if I can get my order on time?
We will get you a ship date once you place your order to ensure that you can get your order on time.
Can you expedite the shipping?
Most orders can be shipped by expedited shipping. As you would expect, there is an additional charge for this service.
